The start-ups in this sector are growing, and a lot is happening in the climate tech space too. The younger generation is more into it and wants to work in this direction to live sustainably. Science-led sustainable solutions are growing and hitting the market. Big corporates are finally seeing a growth case for sustainability, and it is now making business sense to them. The Government is making regulations and creating policies with environmental concerns at the centre. Over the weekend, I attended a session where a career transition program was launched-a transition towards 'Green Jobs', career paths which promote sustainable living and impact climate change.Īt the event, Prashanth Venkatesh, an Angle investor and someone who looks after Marketing & Sustainability Unilever, shared five points as to why this career transition is a good idea today. The Big Corporates, start-ups, the Government, and us, citizens/consumers, must work together to create an eco-system where the environment is respected and sustainability becomes the way of life. Today, we have to introduce new tech to make it better. Having said that, life in our villages was sustainable before businesses started pushing plastic, synthetic clothes and packets to every corner of our country, so it's not something we don't know. Only a few in the big metros can think of and practice green living in such a situation. The struggle in our part of the world is still more about food on the plate and children in a good school/ college pursuing a career that will help them settle in life. However, even though everyone talks about the environment and sustainability, the execution on the ground is still far from reality. Start-ups are selling sustainability, the Government is making promises on the world stage, and NGOs have been at it for a while now.
JAMIE FOXX SLEEPLESS 2 FULL
WATCH MY FULL REVIEW ON FILM COMPANION’S CHANNEL HERE: #ShahidKapoor #MovieReview #bollywood #Film #SanjayKapoor #DianaPenty #RonitRoy #RajeevKhandelwal #VivanBhatena #AnkurBhatia #SleeplessNight #FilmCompanion Which is exactly what this film is about – a father who, as day turns to night, gets bloodier and bloodier. It's telling that #AliAbbasZafar, who co-writes, co-produces and directs, ditched the sleepless theme and simply went with Bloody Daddy. The Telugu version was called Cheekati Rajyam, which means Kingdom of Darkness. The Tamil version was released as Thoongaa Vanam, which means Sleepless Forest. Two years earlier, it was also as a film with Kamal Haasan, shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. In 2017, Hollywood made it as the Jamie Foxx-starrer Sleepless. The original is a 2011 French film called Nuit Blanche or Sleepless Night. Interestingly, this is the fifth time this story is being told.

As it turns out, Bloody Daddy is a solidly entertaining cops-and-gangsters saga.

The action takes place from dusk till dawn, mostly at a Vegas nightclub, hence the title, and there are some outrageously nonsensical plot absurdities, the most baffling being the moment when Vincent, in disguise and wearing a baseball cap, looks down in the club elevator so Bryant won’t spot him and then … looks up! So she spots him! And the chase begins! Because otherwise the plot wouldn’t move forward! A touch of humour would have helped here, instead of reflex batterings. When I told someone that I’m going to see a film called #BloodyDaddy, he said it sounds like bad porn. The bad guys take Vincent’s innocent teenage son hostage to get the drugs back and meanwhile, smart internal affairs officer Bryant (Monaghan) is on his trail. Foxx plays Vincent, a cop who steals a load of cocaine belonging to sinister druglord Rubino (Mulroney) who in turn owes this merchandise to the even nastier criminal Novak (McNairy). Jamie Foxx brings every atom of his star power, attempting to sell us this violent Vegas-set action-thriller – remade from a French film from 2011 called Nuit Blanche – and so does the supporting cast, including Gabrielle Union, Michelle Monaghan, Scoot McNairy and Dermot Mulroney.
